Working in a SEN School, a lot of my resources and toys don’t usually last too long…
I try my best to make different activities out of items I find at home. This way they are cheap (or free) and can easily be replaced if broken or lost!
Colour matching is such a good warm up activity for some of the higher ability students, allowing them to look, concentrate and get in the mood and settle down to do some work.
Though colour matching can be a struggle for some of my lower ability students, practising the colours while doing it in a fun way helps the students remember and learn their colours.
Here I have used an old egg box and various different things I have collected at home; Lids, Scoops, Lego, Pipe Cleaners etc

(The green paint needs to be redone due to it drying funny on the green background)
